Do I Need a High School Diploma/GED?

High school diplomas and/or GED are not required for admission to Ocean County College. However, a diploma/GED is required for financial aid eligibility and nursing students are required to provide official transcripts showing a diploma or GED to be admitted into the nursing program.

What if I Already Have College Credits?

Most credits transfer but you’ll need to have your official transcripts sent to 365球赛平台 for credit evaluation.

Can I Earn a Degree While Working Full-Time?

Yes, you can!

We offer classes on campus Monday through Saturday between the hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. We also offer a variety of degrees that can be earned entirely online that can work around any schedule.

Be sure to ask your employer if they offer any type of tuition or loan reimbursement!

How Many Credits Do I Take Each Semester?

Students are not required to be full-time, however, some types of Financial Aid may require students to maintain a minimum credit load per term. We offer multiple terms that allow you to start whenever you are ready.

I’ve Heard About Getting Credit for Life or Work Experience and Testing. How Does That Work?

Students may earn credit for prior learning gained through non-traditional or non-college-credit educational experiences, employment, volunteer work, etc.

Those who have military, or police, training should submit their certifications, credits, transcripts, etc. to the registrar for an evaluation.
